We’ll connect you with travelers from your country and abroad.
We’ll help you collect payments, deduct a small commission, and send you the balance 48h after your guest checks out.
There’s no minimum or mandatory time you have to host, so you can block off dates when you’re not available.
You can also set rules about your availability, including:
• Min/max nights a guest can stay
• How far in the future guests can book
• Advance notice is needed before a booking
You get to choose your nightly, weekly, or monthly prices, and our pricing tools can help you decide. You can also easily add custom details like:
• Cleaning fees
• Weekly/Monthly discounts
• Special prices for specific times of year
To avoid getting booked when you can’t host or have an existing reservation, you can connect your SHRTSTAYS calendar with your other platform calendars. This allows you to keep all calendars up-to-date automatically.
To help set expectations, you can add House Rules that guests must agree to before booking. If a guest breaks a rule after they book, you can cancel the reservation without any penalty.
Signing up for SHRTSTAYS and listing your home is completely free.
Once you receive a reservation, we charge a little service fee for hosts, generally 0 to 3%, to help cover the cost of running the business.
The price you charge for your listing is completely up to you. To help you decide, you can search for comparable listings in your city or neighborhood to get an idea of market prices.
Additional Fees
• Cleaning fee: You can either incorporate a cleaning fee into your nightly price or you can add a cleaning fee in your pricing settings.
• Other fees: To charge extra fees outside of your rates (like a late check-in or pet fee), you must first disclose these potential charges to guests prior to booking and then add them as extra services for the guest to be able to add them when booking.
We ask everyone who uses SHRTSTAYS for a few pieces of information before they travel with us. Guests need to have this info completely filled out before they can make a reservation request. This info helps make sure you know who to expect, and how to contact the guest.

Cancellation penalties
Canceling a guest’s reservation can have serious implications on their trip, so penalties will be applied unless there is an extenuating circumstance.
Darbnb typically releases your payout about 48h after your guest’s scheduled check-in time. The time it takes for the funds to arrive in your account depends on your payout method.
If your guest is staying for 28 or more nights, payouts for that reservation are released monthly.
If you’re a new host, we may hold your payouts for 30 days after your first reservation is confirmed. If your first reservation is more than 30 days away, your payout will be released 48h after your guest’s scheduled check-in. This will apply to any payouts scheduled to be released during those 30 days.
You don’t need to apply to become a Superhost. If you meet the program requirements on the quarterly assessment date, you’ll qualify for Superhost status. Quarterly assessment dates are January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st, every year. We’ll notify you of your Superhost status at the end of each assessment period—usually 10 days after the assessment begins.
